Overview
What is parachute training & simulation?
A parachute simulator suspends a trainee in a harness while a virtual-reality environment reproduces freefall, canopy deployment and descent, so procedures can be practised on the ground.
How it is used
- Rehearsing exit, deployment and landing procedures before live jumps
- Practising malfunction and emergency drills safely
- Building familiarity with terrain and drop zones
What to consider
- Simulation complements rather than replaces live training
- Scenario content should reflect local terrain and procedures
- Instructor tools and after-action review are as important as the hardware
TWZ's role
TWZ is exploring parachute simulation for Malaysian airborne and training requirements, including localisation of scenarios and long-term technical support.
Specifications, manufacturers and performance data are not published here. They depend on the requirement and are shared during engagement.
